Game Summary:
Whispering Ledger immerses you in the life of a merchant attempting to survive in a neutral land trapped between two warring powers.
You’ve left your island homestead to open up shop in Valencia, Dalren’s thriving commerce hub. Your job is to expand your store, manage your reputation, and weather the political ramifications from selling to both sides.
Whispering Ledger has a complex commercial system that allows you to choose whether you want to be an honest trader and sell items for what they’re worth, or a greedy mogul who refuses to sell anything less than top price. Your store’s reputation will change as a result of your business methods, and some customers will take special offense if they are nickel and dimed.
As your reputation increases, you’ll form partnerships and possibly something more with five core characters:
- Balae (Scholar Association) will help unlock new regions.
- Ashura (Mercenary Guild) can provide better adventurers for safer expeditions.
- Nicole (Research Division) will craft various inventions for resale.
- Tyra (Fisher’s Pier) will scavenge various seascapes for treasure.
- Rat (Black Market) can explain her role herself.
